Erin knows that it is the responsibility of the instructor to ask students questions to help them make appropriate decisions and how to guide them along the path that they choose. She understands learners will need encouragement and she truly enjoys being of service and providing structure when people aren’t sure what to do next.

I have personally seen countless of her in-person and online students go from having a panic attack to smiling and grateful in a surprisingly short amount of time, simply because she asked the right question and then provided an easy to follow game plan. This is the kind of help that so many students need.

Erin and I worked together to redesign and reimagine our high school Journalism program. Her energy, enthusiasm, and creative input injected life and relevance into all the classes.

Erin has a unique and uncanny ability to break down concepts into manageable steps that lead to a student’s understanding. She also “road tests” her lessons, making sure that each step makes sense and is not just busy work, but accomplishes the learning goal and/or building block that she is trying to achieve.

I had Ms. Teague for English, and then she was my College & Career Counselor. Every assignment for her class had a deadline, but it always felt reasonable and manageable due to her specific and meticulous lesson plans. More specifically, she taught me the value of hard work, but she also emphasized that my performance in school didn’t completely define me. She assisted me in finding a balance between putting my best foot forward and giving myself grace for the mistakes I make.
